I obtained the title “Philosophy Doctor in Engineering” at the Unviersity of Tsukuba, Japan.

Presented our work on “Seeker: Coaching free roaming robot behavior using human physiological affective feedback” at the International Session: Women in Robotics of the 30th Annual Conference of the Robotics Society of Japan.

I presented our work on “Quantitative Analysis of Positive Facial Expressions of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder using a Wearable Device that Captures Distal EMG” at the 35th Annual Meeting of the Neuroscience Society.

Our work using facial expressions to coach robot behavior continues and a video of coaching a free roaming robot as well as the open source TDM architecture are now available

I will be presenting our work on “Social smile sharing analysis from physiological signals using a wearable device” at the International Conference on Human-Machine Systems, Cyborgs and Enhancing Devices HUMASCEND 2012 Conference held June 14th – 16th, 2012, Iasi, Romania.

I have been appointed Publicity Chair for the International Conference on Human-Machine Systems, Cyborgs and Enhancing Devices HUMASCEND 2012 Conference to be held June 14th – 16th, 2012, Iasi, Romania.

I will be doing an internship at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California in the Advanced Robotic Controls Group form January 23rd – February 8th.

I will be presenting a paper at Humanoids 2011 in Bled, Slovenia on October 26th – 28th, 2011.
